Welcome To Mr. Loosveldt's WIKI!

First things first. You might be asking yourself, What is a Wiki? What an excellent question. The answer: A wiki is an online document, a webpage, that can be edited right inside the web browser. What does that mean? It means that these webpages are shared by everyone in our classroom. It means that each of you have the priviledge and responsibility of making the classroom website. You can edit any of the pages in our website. I want our wiki to serve a number of functions: 1) Wikis are fluid. Students will be able to share their writing on the wiki and receive instant feedback. You can edit any of the pages on our website. Just make sure that you don't change someone else's work without asking them or be mendacious in your critique about the author's writing; 2) Our wiki will feature links to websites that contain pearls of wisdom about the craft of writing; 3) Our wiki will feature a calendar that will keep you informed about important due dates; 3) Bookreviews will be posted on the wiki to help you select a book that you will be ensconced in.

about school uniforms:I understand both sides of the story. On one hand i see that the school doesnt want others to make fun of people simply because they cant affrd name brand items! However on probably most of the students defence, i agee that wearing certain brands is a fashion statement. No im not saying what you where reflects on your individuality, but sometimes it helps us state who we are!also just because someone chooses not to where some of the popular brands doesnt mean they cant afford them!they might just not like that brand!because i personally arent a huge fan of hollister but i love american eagle!!!!

i think that school uniforms are not a great idea we should b able to express oursheleves with what we wear it shows who we are whether its in style, old school or emo
although i do think that kelsey is right about not wanting us to be made fun of becuz of wat we wear its true uniforms would help with that but still i personally wouldnt want to wear unifroms gosh knows what they would look like ugh

OK, now I don't know which subject we're on but I'll start with the Ipod. Well I have a lime green nano ipod that I got for Christmas. I thought my MP3 player was fine when I first got it. I was SO WRONG! I love how its not very much of a hassle to charge it and it so quick and easy to buy and import songs! And its not even bulky it has a nice sleek design so it will totally fit in your pocket. I LOVE my ipod BUT I could really live without it. (But only if I had to)
OK now the debate about the separate classrooms for girls and boys........HMMMMMMM....I really don't know what I think about it. I think I'm willing to try it. I mean I do have some guy friends so it'd be weird without them. But with just girl classrooms I think we'd all be more comfortable to talk about things with our own gender.
Well, thats what I think!

I agree with Erin on ipods and i really do think that people could live without them but i could never live without an ipod from one of my friends! LOL! Oh and about the girls seperate from boys thing... ABSOLUTLLY N-O! that would never work for me because i think that we can all learn at the same pace if we really wanted to cause i mean being with some of your friends is better than being with none of your fiends. So i think that we could live with both genders in the same classroom i mean there really is no big deal about it.

i totally agree on ipods! i know i cannot live without my music its like one of my best friends! it wud help me get pumped up for doing school work !!lol thatd be awesome if we could have them in class though!
for the the classes seperating boys and girls! i dont know about that cuz it personally doesnt matter all that much but some of us do have our best guy friends in our classes and that would suck if we were separated! but then again it would be easier not having the class clowns and the boisterous kids in class!lol! i bet alot of us girls would do better in class without thinking about all those cute guys in our class! but ya like i said idk it work either way id be on both sides

I agree with destiny i love ipods...and we don't have to listen to them when teachers are talking just during free time... i LOATHE the idea of boys and girls getting seperated there would be to much opinion and drama in the girl classes and then boy classes would be turned up side down...so i just think over all it wouldn't be a good idea
